Amidon
This was an amusing destination. Amidon is the smallest county seat in America, and according to my map it is one of only 2 towns in all of Slope County, North Dakota.Amidon boasts "24 hour Police Protection," and in fact if you drive to Amidon via route 85 you see the police car parked at the head of the town, at the intersection of Inman Street.
Based on my entirely unscientific observation, I would have to say that this police car does indeed cause traffic to slow down very quickly from the 65 MPH speed limit to a sizzling 25 MPH speed limit.
Closer examination of the police car, however, reveals the shocking truth:
It's a mannequin!
