Precinct No. 1
Concho County
Paint Rock, Texas 76866
Dear Judge Arnold:
Just the other day I was returning to Lubbock from Austin and
was unfortunately speeding. I have had one speeding ticket in
my years of driving, but ever since I came to Texas I find it very
hard to control my foot.
I am originally from Puerto Rico, which is only a small island
in the Caribbean, and one does not have to drive for more than an
hour. I can't say that I am use to driving the distances that are
required of Texans. Anyway I am fortunate that the officer stopped me
because I realized that I was driving asleep with my eyes open. I
was not even aware that the officer was behind me until we were
practically bumper to bumper.
I hope that we can settle this matter with the least financial
damage. I presently am seeking employment, and I can't say with
certainty that I will find a job here in Texas. I realize that there
is the possibility of an increase in insurance premiums as a result
of this incident. I would like to avoid this if it is possible.
Please let me know if there are any specific questions and
I will promptly respond.
Sincerely
Manuel M.
Lubbock Tx.
