No mistaking it: I was a slob when I lived at 9 Cabrini. My defense, if that's what I might call it, was that a messy room is a sign of an organized mind, since I did not need to manually organize my things to know where they were. Additionally, I seem to remember feeling a certain comfort in having so much of my stuff within arm's reach.
I should be embarrassed about this slovenly display, but it's funny to me to see how I've changed since 1991. I am no clean freak but you'd never find my apartment today looking anything like this. On the other hand, I wonder what that says for the fact that I am unable to find things with far greater frequency now then when I lived like this.
