Film Photography
These pages show my current work in film photography from a Minolta Maxxum 7000 SLR. There is a lot more where this came from, but these pictures represent some of what I got with the first several months owning a beautiful Minolta Maxxum 7000 Film SLR. I have a few comments about the ruggedness of film photography versus the hyper-reality of some digital photography here. Most of these photos were scanned from negatives using a Canon CanoScan 8800f flatbed scanner with an adapter for scanning negative strips. An image assumes no virtue simply for being captured on film, but I think that the softness of film images reflects the way human beings see things more accurately than hyper-detailed digital images. There are no masterpieces here but I look forward to sharing my rediscovery of the randomness of film.
