A series of amateur slides shot on Kodak Kodachrome Film and scanned using the Pacific Image PowerSlide 3650 Slide Scanner.
I collect slides, and as any slide collector will tell you Kodak's Kodachrome are the gold standard for color quality and archival durability. I have scanned Kodachrome slides from as far back as 1942 and find that the quality of color and the richness of the images gives the impression that these pictures could have been taken yesterday. This series was bought at auction and were assembled arbitrarily by the sellers. I prefer to buy complete series of slides from estate or other sales. This series, unfortunately, appears to comprise cherry-picked slides from a variety of unrelated families and places. That said there are beautiful and unique photos in this set.
