Thus the soul may seem as tranquil / As a sea without a wave. / While there are to thee unopened / Deeps as secret as the grave.<br />
Cast into the sea a pebble. / Cast into the heart a word. / It is all alike -- thou can'st not / Know what mighty deeps are stirr'd.<br />

 <description><![CDATA[Um, Wow! I could only hope to write something as clear and beautiful as this poem. And what a marvelous thing to mark your grave. Thought I would share a neat bit I found on a child's gravestone at the Drew Cemetery in Carmel, NY: Remember this as you walk by, As you are now so once was I. As I am now, you soon shall be. So prepare to die and follow me. ]]></description>
