The instructions included with this Tenyo plastic puzzle seem to say that there are 1,000,000,000 ways to fit the 35 Tetris-like pieces into the plastic case. This puzzle has been in my family since the early 1970s, and we have never found a solution other than the one included with the puzzle. Is there more than one way to fit the pieces into the container?

Thus, a small "navel" exists at the top of the rectangular plastic case. Luckily, the grid on this card shows one possible solution. Without that solution we would never have fit the pieces in the container. We never found even one other way to do it. Perhaps we have been misguided all this time by the Engrish, but if there are not literally 1,000,000,000 ways to fit these pieces back in the case then there should there not at least be more than one?

I guess you could say they are Tetris-like, though Tetris was not invented until the 1980s. This is the only solution we ever reached with this puzzle. We reached this not on our own but with the help of a grid included with the puzzle (see next page).
