The two ganders got in a fight this evening. It's difficult to break them apart, with the beaks snapping, wings flailing and all the honking. I think the strange weather has confused them into beginning mating behavior again, from the beginning. Including the scandalous bathtub activities, the excessive preening and general fuckfests throughout the day.

Anyway, I am going to take five more eggs tomorrow, and see if Lucy starts a new clutch. Oh yeah, there is a mysterious tunnel coming into the egg room, and I think it may be a fox or a weasel. Last year some eggs just disappeared down a hole near the nest.
