- Went up to Calumet last night on a "dirty tour" - cruising the locals bars-
Caught a couple of cover bands and their drunken entourages. We left one bar after we yelled "Play Crazy Train!" and they did. The next bar we entered had a band, and the first song they played after we got there was "Crazy Train."
PLUS, get this, the guys in the first band were drinking Zima.
I am not making this up.
Plus, they had cup holders that looked like they cost $30 a pop attached to their mic stands. Wow.
Drove hom ein the thick fog, listening to a mix tape I made when I was sixteen, full of the Dead Milkmen and the Ramones.
Moving slow today.

i had an interview this morning for a full-time writing job. about the same pay what i make now, better health benefits, much less vacation/sick leave.
i already know they want to hire me. i mean, i was ASKED to interview for the position because i've been doing freelance work for them. but it's hard... i don't know. i'm ready for a change, but my current job is so comfy, and by no means do i dread going to work as it is.

my life really happens when i'm not at work, so free time is not important, it's crucial.
i see this new potential job as a stepping stone. the goal isn't a high-paying high-power position and upward mobility. i could give a fuck about those things.
the goal, really, is just to some day soon be able write full time from home, my home being a small house on a big piece of land in the country (preferably in maui) with dogs and cats and an organic garden. but that's a goal, and i have to keep on being happy with life day to day.
i always try to look at the big picture. keeping it simple. but it makes these little decisions somehow a little harder.

some yoga, bio-feedback, etc. and she took it again. Same numbers. Called my own doc, said I must pass this test, give me some
drugs. He did, I took them, now I need to get tested again. I talked with my friendly pharmacist to find out if I can take too much,
because I intend to really load up before the exam. She said, well I cannot tell you to do that, but what you were given is not the
highest dose available, and it will last about twelve hours in your body. So, tomorrow morning I get a blood level going, think placid
thoughts and take the test again. Then I can go to work. Why they care if a Planner has hypertension is beyond me, unless they just
don't want to pay up if I die on their time.
Alas for poor Lame Duck, he is not up to the task and we are calling for a stand-in stud to keep the girls happy. My friend with all the

My bulbs are starting to bloom, jonquils, then flags, then tulips, then the ranunculi, my favorites. There is a place not too far from here
called Daffodil Hill, where there are hundreds of acres of daffies all blooming at the same time. You can go and just meander
through the fields. I may do that to get the blood pressure down; if only they could take the test in a field of daffies, I know I would
pass. I'll take some with me, just in case.
the FBI has left us alone, given up on the missing women. I have lost all hope of getting the reward $$$ by having the Hound Dog

- kubrick finished eyes wide shut last week. all it needs is the titles. there was someone else who finished their last great work and died the next day but the name escapes me. the sad thing is that there are so few like him left, artists working in film, 'poetry in motion'.
let's just hope malick doesn't disappear for another twenty years

so incredibly goddamn intoxicated stupid happy.
this is my life! i made this life, right here, that i am living. and it's great. it's so great sometimes i just cry because it's all just here, a product of my creation. this job, this incredible fucking job, it's mine. my incredible city, i moved here. my incredible boyfriend, i found him. my shaved head, i made my boss do it.
christ! do i deserve this? yes i do, goddammit, because i put myself in it.
this is it. this is where i am right now as a combined product of all the good hard work and all the fucking up and all the growing up and here i am.
pinch myself pinch myself pinch myself.
life is so good. and then i'll die and sink back into the goddamn glorious earth that fed me and loved me. fuck heaven. this is where i want to be. this is where i want my carbon atoms to break up and leech into the ground. this is where i want my soul to rest.
hurrah for life! hurrah for death!
oh, and the weed out here is really fucking tasty.

me and the girlfriend finally broke up this week. 2 & 1/2 years. wow.
And while it feels weird and the prospect of living alone again (no-one to confide in, less frequent sex) has it's bad points, I think days later I'm actually over it.
I mean fuck it, I haven't been really happy in the relationship for ages. And all I have to do is look at some of my old posts here if I forget it for a minute.
Sure I'll have a few weeks of excessive drinking to take the edge off, but as I remember, excessive drinking and meaningless random sex is just nature's way of helping you get over this sort of thing.
On a brighter note, I saw Run DMC last nite and they rocked the house. Damn.

Why is it that problems with the opposite sex always come at the most inopportune times?
And yes, there's a fallacy involved in the first part of that, but I can't figure which one, and I'm about to be late... It has to do with the fact that better communication skills when dealing with interpersonal relationships are only part of the dynamic. She has her own agenda, as do I, and the question of the day is: Can they Co-incide?

She writes me these e-mails that are like 34,872 words long ( a tad exageration there) and when I write my return mail back to her, I can only think of like 20 words to write her. Thats what awesome pain killers and top shelf vodka does to you I guess.
But, there are certain other people that I could sit here for days and write to. One time I sat at my desk and typed an e-mail to a friend for 3 1/2 hours straight. I could have kept going and written a fuckin' best selling book probably but my eyes were really tired and I started seeing like 3 of everything so I cut it short.
My Sirengirl called me the other day out of the clear blue. It was a nice surprise.
I went over to my friend Crazy Claudia's house today to do lunch and she was showing me the lake in her backyard. I look over to my left and there I see 2 geese looking things screwin' like beasts in the corner of the lake.
I was sickened at the sight. Didnt do lunch for sure after that.
Back to this damn e-mail now I guess.
